Data and purposes
Names, emails, account identifiers, roles and access status identify staff and control permissions. The authentication service handles credentials; passwords are not shown to staff. Language, time zone and recent activity support platform operation. Chat records when received messages are displayed to maintain notifications across devices and show read confirmations to the sender. Online presence uses recent activity and is available only to permitted staff contacts; teachers cannot see other teachers' presence. Depending on the role, availability, schedules, participation and authorship in lesson records and internal messages are processed to organize school activities and communication.
Profile photo
A photo is optional and identifies you within the platform. You can change or remove it in settings. Uploading it does not authorize advertising use.
Message visibility
Chat only supports direct conversations between teachers and administrators or assistants, and between administrators and assistants. There is no general room or teacher-to-teacher chat. Conversations are restricted in the interface to their two authorized, active participants; administrators cannot open other people's direct conversations. Students and learners cannot access chat. Messages are stored in platform infrastructure and are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized technical personnel may access the database where needed for maintenance, security, support or legal obligations, limited to that purpose.
Live lesson recordings
Engliv records live lessons through Google Meet for internal review of teaching and verification of what happened during lessons. Recordings may capture participants’ images, voices, screens and shared content; Meet features may also retain messages or captions depending on the settings used. This purpose does not include public disclosure or advertising. Recordings are stored in the Google Drive associated with the meeting organizer. Access must be limited to authorized Engliv professionals who need them for the stated purpose, with restricted sharing and protection against unauthorized disclosure. The school’s standard retention period is up to 180 days from the lesson date. Recordings must then be erased; longer retention requires a specific documented need, legal ground and period, such as an incident under investigation, a legal obligation or the exercise of rights, with restricted access and necessity reviews. Participants must receive prior information about recording and these conditions. General acceptance of the terms does not replace any specific consent required by law, assessment of the legal basis or guardian participation where applicable. Enrollment of minors and recording their lessons require consideration of their best interests and all participants’ rights. School contracts and instructions must reflect these rules. Advertising use of image or voice requires separate, specific permission. For questions, access, objection, erasure or consent withdrawal where applicable, contact contato@engliv.com.br. The school must assess the processing basis, legal conditions and third-party rights, explain its response and consider appropriate alternatives for the educational activity. Deleting a platform account does not automatically delete Google Drive files; erasure requests must also cover relevant external recordings. Retention is not unlimited merely because an account has ended or a recording is stored outside the platform.
Activity and decisions
Online presence and read receipts support communication; they are not conclusive proof of working hours, productivity or performance. This notice does not authorize unrestricted monitoring or professional decisions based solely on these indicators. Contact Engliv for questions or review requests.
Grounds for processing
The applicable grounds depend on the operation, including contract performance or procedures requested by the individual, legal obligations and the exercise of rights where applicable. Legitimate-interest processing requires an assessment of necessity, proportionality and individual rights. Where consent is needed, it must be specific. Reading this notice does not authorize incompatible uses or replace that assessment.
Services and sharing
The platform uses hosting, authentication, database and storage providers, including Supabase. Google Calendar integration processes information needed for scheduling when used. WhatsApp contact opens an external service. Resend supports email and Cloudflare Turnstile protects forms. Necessary cookies maintain sessions and preferences; Analytics is restricted to the public homepage with consent. Providers and teachers abroad may access data outside Brazil; Engliv must identify countries and recipients, minimize access and establish the applicable international-transfer mechanism. Request operation and safeguard details through the privacy channel. This notice does not authorize data sales, advertising with staff photos or public disclosure of conversations.
History and closure
Messages remain in history; this version has no automatic message expiry or message deletion button. When the administration deletes a staff account, chat removes messages sent by that account and direct messages addressed to it. Blocking access alone does not erase history. Shared lesson records and content may remain for school continuity, without the authorship link where the implementation removes it. Erasure requests and legally necessary retention must be assessed for their purpose; there is no promise to erase records that the law requires to be kept.
Your rights
You may request confirmation, access, correction and sharing information, and where legally applicable anonymization, blocking, erasure, portability, objection or withdrawal of consent. Contact contato@engliv.com.br free of charge; proportionate identity verification may be needed. Do not send passwords. LGPD provides immediate simplified confirmation/access or a full statement within 15 days; other requests follow applicable deadlines. You may request review of solely automated decisions affecting your interests. Any limitations must be explained. The absence of staff self-deletion does not prevent exercising these rights or contacting Brazil's ANPD.
